PTC Dictionary

• Account Balance: This will show how much money you have on a particular PTC site.
• Advertiser: Someone who pays to promote their product. You get pet if you click their ads.
• Browse Ad/Surf Ad/View Ad: It is where you can earn money by clicking on ads.
• Cashout/Payout: Process of requesting to get the money you have earned.
• Click: A process you do to view the Ads to be able to earn. This ads usually has a predifed time before you can close them.
• Commission/Referral commission: The money you earn if you refer a person to a PTC site. It can also be defined as the money you earn when the person you invited take some action and receive credit. 
• Downline: These are your referrals.
• Direct Referral: A member who is directly registered under you through your affiliate link or banner. 
• Frame Breaker: An advertisement that can break out of the PTC website's contained frame.This are usually unfriendly ads that has a lot of pop up, and normally not allowed by PTC owners.
• Investment: If you are an Advertiser, it is the money that you pay to promote your ad.  If you are a member it is the money that you use to upgrade your membership.
• Inactive Referral: A referral who is no longer active. (e.g. does not click on ad or has an account that is already terminated. 
• Paid to Read: You will be paid to read an advertisement.
• Paid to Sign up: You will be paid to register to a certain site.
• Paid to Promote: You will be paid when somebody views a website with your referral link.
• Payment Processor: These are online bank accounts. Alertpay and paypal are the most often used payment processors.
• Payout/Cashout Minimum: It is an amount that you will need to reach before you can request to receive your payment. 
• PTC/Paid to Click: You will be paid for clicking on advertisements.
• Purchase Balance: This money can used to buy clicks for your Advertisements, buy referrals or buy anything on a PTC site.
• Recycling Referral: Process of exchanging a referral to a new one. This is usually done if the referral that you rented is inactive.
• Referral: A PTC member who is registered under you through your referral link or banner. 
• Referral Banner: An advertisement photo where your referral link is embedded.  
• Referral Link: A special link that contains your member name or ID. If someone registers to a PTC site through your referral link he/she will become your referral.
• Rented Referral: A referral that you hire temporarily for you to earn more when he/she clicks on ads.
• Scam: A PTC site that does not pay. A fraud.
• Standard/Free Member: A member, who registered, but have not paid for upgrading. Usually these members have lesser benefits than upgraded ones.
• Targeting: A term used when an advertisement is viewable only for a special group of users.(e.g. demographic targeting, geographical selection, etc.)
• Upgrade: An optional payment that a member can make to receive additional features and commissions. 
• Ugraded/Premium member: A registered member, who paid and is currently paying a monthly/yearly fee to the PTC site to get certain features.
• Visitor: Someone who clicks and views an ad.
• Withdrawal fee: A fee allocated when you request for cash out. This fee only applicable to some PTC sites.

Frequently used expressions of PTC sites:

• Convert earnings from your Account Balance to Purchase Balance: You may transfer your previously earned money when you want buy something.
• Country Targeting: An expression used when advertisement is viewable only from specified countries.
• Earn up to $0.02 per Click: You will earn a maximum of two (2) cents, when you click on an advertisement.
• Earn up to $0.01 per Referral Click: You will earn a maximum of  one(1) cent, when you click on an advertisement.
• Earn up to 100% per Referral Click: This means you will earn the exact rate that your referral has earned from his/her click.
• Get 1,000 Visitors for just $2: This means your advertisement will be viewed by 1,000 visitors after you pay $2.00.
• Free Outside Visitors: These are unregistered members who can also view your advertisements. These views are free.
• No Investment needed to Cashout:  You can cash out without investing anything.  
• Instant payment: There is no need to wait for several days to receive your payment.  
• Unique Visitors every 24 Hours: Members can only click your ads once per day.
